Synopsis

Hekate is the Greek goddess of magic, transitions between worlds, trance, and ecstasy. She is the patroness of raves, the queen of the night. When we dance, sweat, celebrate, and lose ourselves in a euphoric crowd, we are unconsciously paying homage to Hekate. In gratitude, she makes us immortal for a moment. Long live Hekate.

The music video of the song Hekate by Luis Baltes was shot in an undisclosed Berlin night club. The artist is shown to prep the dancefloor just to dance and party for himself in an empty night club. This is all in stark contrast to the lyrics of the songs, which celebrates ecstasy, hedonism and celebration. Trying to cope with social distancing, the video tries to use the song's theme to make a statement about the harsh reality of the music culture during this time.
