Abstract

This ready-made is made out of gas masks replicas and common lightbulbs. It was made as a comment on the lightbulb ban in Europe. They were used in a photography series and also in various VJ performances on stage. Performers wearing the masks were connected to a DMX light controlling network, thus dimming the light bulbs according to various input signals. Those signals would come from other software, like a live video processor to match with visuals and music.

The setup was also made in mobile variants, linked to a car-batterie to ensure on-the-go power.
