Abstract

The companion app libOS is a playful passage from an escape game created for the Hamburg public libraries, which deals with password security and data protection using the example of home WiFi networks. The aim is to partially transfer the originally purely analog game into the digital realm. Children must collect and combine clues to solve puzzles and ultimately find a password. The app is launched on a laptop that is set up the room as part of the analog escape game.
